Mumbai reach Ranji Trophy Final for 44th Time

TNI Bureau: In an eventful Ranji Trophy semifinal match, which was extended to the 6th day, Mumbai gained the first innings lead against the Services and entered the Ranji Trophy final for the 44th time.

Most of the match was wasted due to bad weather and wet conditions in Delhi. However, Mumbai managed to bowl Services out on the sixth day. As both teams completed their first innings, the winner was decided on the basis of first innings.

Mumbai had scored 454/8 in the first innings, thanks to Tendulkar (56), Abhishek Nayar (70), Aditya Tare (120) and Ajit Agarkar (145). Services were 186/3 at one stage, but bowled out for 240 in the end. Dhawal Kulkarni took five wickets, while Shardul Thakur took three wickets. Mumbai will take on Saurashtra in the final, which will begin on January 26.
