In a shocking and gruesome incident, the Maoists killed a Sarpanch Bhagban Krisani at his residence, suspecting him to be a police informer. The incident occurred last night. Krisani’s dead body was found on the road at the outskirts of his village Kurmanpur.

At least 25 naxals were said to be involved in the attack. They abducted Bhagban Krisani from his house and later chopped off his legs using a sharp object. According to sources, he was given the death sentence at a “praja court”. While he was crying with pain, the rebels brutally hit him with sticks, resulting in a painful death for the Sarpanch.

Bhagban Krisani, who was elected Sarpanch four times, is survived by one son and three daughters. His son Madhu Kirsani is working as a Panchayat Officer.
