TNI Bureau: Putting all speculations into rest, the ECI trends have given a clear indication that BJP is going to form its first-ever government in West Bengal, dethroning Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC), which has been in power for 15 years.
As per the ECI trends, BJP is leading in 193 out of 291 seats so far. TMC is leading in 94 seats. Although several rounds of counting are yet to be completed, it’s certain that BJP is winning West Bengal by a good margin and Mamata Banerjee will have to be content with the Opposition role.
In Assam, BJP led by Himanta Biswa Sarma is all set to make an hat-trick. Out of 123 seats (data received so far), BJP is leading in 79 seats alone and 97 with allies. Congress’s CM face Gaurav Gogoi reportedly lost the polls from Jorhat.
In Tamil Nadu, ACtor Vijay’s TVK has stunned traditional parties DMK and AIADMK, by leading in 110 out of 225 seats (data received so far). His party is all set to form the next government in Tamil Nadu. ADMK (57; Alliance 64) and DMK (49; Alliance 60) are struggling behind TVK.
In Keralam, Congress-led UDF is leading towards a comfortable victory, with a lead in 99 seats. INC is alone leading in 63 seats. The All India N. R. Congress (AINRC)-led NDA is leading in Puducherry.
