Largest investment in Odisha’s Aluminium Sector: Rs 1.08 Lakh Cr project gets approval

TNI Bureau: In a landmark industrial push, Odisha Government has signed an MoU worth ₹1,01,000 crore with the Adani Group to boost large-scale investments in the State.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi was present at the signing ceremony of a separate agreement between Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company (IHC Group), UAE and IPICOL, the State’s investment promotion agency.

IHC Group of Abu Dhabi plans to bring in $11.5 billion (approximately Rs 1.08 lakh crore) to set up the project through a 50:50 joint venture with the Adani Group.

Government sources said the project is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for around 53,500 people. Jobs will span in mining, refining, smelting, power generation, and downstream product manufacturing.
