Kerala Police gets Strong Evidence against Bitti Mohanty

Date:

Rape convict Bittihotra Mohanty, who had been evading law for more than six years by the help of fake identity, now is living under suspicion whether his retired DGP father will be able to save him from all the charges. The case against him became stronger after Kerala police got solid evidence during their visit to Odisha.

Police confirmed that Bitti’s certificates in the name of Raghav Rajan from three educational institutions at Cuttack and Bhubaneswar were fake.

Bitti has no option rather than to admit the charges levelled against him as his father (Retired Odisha DGP BB Mohanty) identified the photograph of Raghav Rajan (fake name) as his son Bitti Mohanty.

His father was given a clean cheat in impersonation and forgery cases against him, but Kerala Police found that Bitti had forged his certificates from school level to B Tech degree from KIIT University.

Police said that Bitti had allegedly superimposed the name of Raghav Rajan on the certificates. He was working as a probationary officer at a public sector bank at Kannur with a fake name Raghav Rajan from Andhra Pradesh.

All the hope for Bitti faded away after his father said that he will cooperate with the investigating officers in the probe. Even though, police did not find any evidence against BB Mohanty showing his role in impersonation and forgery cases against his son Bitti, but he will be interrogated again and again if required.

Bitti Mohanty, who had jumped parole from a jail at Alwar in December 2006, was on run. He was staying at Puttaparthi in the name of Raghav Rajan before joining the bank in Kerala as a probationary officer.
