Intex Launches 7-inch Android Tablet at Rs 6,490


TNI Bureau: Indian mobile phone maker Intex Technologies has launched its 7-inch Android tablet INTEX i-Buddy in India. The device is priced at Rs 6,490.

i-Buddy has an ultra slim design with 9mm thickness and the device is claimed to be the slimmest 7” tablet in India.

The i-Buddy tablet runs on Android Ice-cream Sandwich 4.0 OS and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It is equipped with 512 MB DDR3 RAM and supports 32GB external storage. The device sports a 7-inch multi-touch screen, supports Adobe Flash 11.1 and has a front-facing camera.

The device is targeted at the youth and urban as well as semi-urban professionals who aspire to own a computing device.

At the start, the tablet will be available in various cities and towns in South Indian states, namely Madurai, Coimbatore, Salem, Nagercoil, Hyderabad and Vijaywada etc.  through Intex’s 2,500 retailers.
