TNI Bureau: President Droupadi Murmu will visit Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on June 19 and 20, where she will take part in several developmental and public welfare programmes, including a major event in Rairangpur on June 20 to mark two years of the Odisha Government, which will also be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As per the President’s Secretariat itinerary, She will arrive at Dandbose Airport in Rairangpur on June 19 and visit the Sub-Divisional Hospital, where she will interact with beneficiaries and medical staff involved in an AIIMS Bhubaneswar-supported health camp. She will also inaugurate a rural piped water supply project covering 113 villages and unveil the Matrushakti Bhavan of the Brahma Kumaris at Hatbadra.

On June 20, the President will visit several cultural and religious sites, including Gosani Peeth, Santhali Jahera, and Ho Jahera. She will also meet beneficiaries at a skill development centre and visit a school run by the SLS Trust, where she will pay tribute to her late parents.

The highlight of the visit will be a joint public programme in Rairangpur attended by both President Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking the completion of two years of the state government. During the event, they will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple projects virtually.

Key projects include the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) Centre at Rairangpur, IGNOU Regional Centre, an indoor badminton stadium under Khelo India, a sports complex, a Tribal Research and Development Centre, and a proposed PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.

Extensive security and administrative arrangements have been made ahead of the high-profile visit in Mayurbhanj district.
