India clinch ODI Series in Sri Lanka

TNI Bureau: India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in the fourth ODI in Colombo to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series with one match to go. Virat Kohli hit his 13th ODI hundred to take India to a victory.

Kohli, who had scored a hundred in the first ODI, showed great resolve tonight while chasing down Sri Lanka’s 251. He and Suresh Raina added unbeaten 146 runs for the fifth wicket. Raina remained unbeaten on 58, while Kohli scored 128* off 119 balls.

Sri Lanka 251/8 in 50 overs. Tharanga 51, Dilshan 42, Thirimanne 47, Chandimal 28. Manoj Tiwary 4/61, Ashwin 2/46.

India 255/4 in 42.2 overs. Kohli 128*, Sehwag 34, Manoj Tiwary 21. Raina 58*.
