Illegal LPG Storage Busted in Bhubaneswar, 107 Cylinders Seized

TNI Bureau: The Civil Supplies Enforcement Squad, under the guidance of CSO Khordha Jnanendriya Mishra, along with Civil Supplies staff of BMC, conducted a raid at Tarini Timber Shop in the Samantarapur area.

The operation was carried out in the presence of Commissionerate Police personnel and an Executive Magistrate. During the raid, officials detected an illegal LPG storage point operating within the BMC jurisdiction.

Authorities found that LPG cylinders were being stored inside the timber shop’s workshop in an unauthorised and unsafe manner, violating prescribed safety norms.

A total of 107 LPG cylinders were seized, including 78 domestic cylinders, 5 commercial cylinders and 24 small (5 kg) cylinders. Officials stated that the storage conditions were highly hazardous and posed a serious threat to public safety.

Necessary legal action has been initiated as per due procedure.
