Owaisi, who returned early on Monday morning from London, told police that he would appear before the court citing ill health.

The MIM MLA was directed to appear before police in Adilabad district on Monday and in Nizamabad town on January 8. However, the police failed to arrest him at the airport.

Another notice has been served to him by Osmania police to appear before it on January 10. The FIR has been registered following a court directive after he allegedly used inflammatory language against a particular community in December last year.
