Former Kantabanji MLA Ayub Khan Passes Away; Naveen Expresses Grief

TNI Bureau: Former Kantabanji MLA Ayub Khan passed away after being unwell for quite some time, leading to widespread grief across western Odisha. A prominent political figure from the region, Ayub Khan was known for his strong grassroots connection and active public life.

Ayub Khan was a two-time MLA from the Kantabanji Assembly constituency. He first won the seat in 2004 as an Independent candidate, emerging as a strong regional voice in Odisha politics. He later got elected again in 2014 as a BJD candidate. During his political career, he earned recognition for raising local issues and maintaining close contact with people in his constituency.

Biju Janata Dal president and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed deep sorrow over Ayub Khan’s demise. In his condolence message, Naveen Patnaik described him as a committed public representative who worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people of Kantabanji and nearby regions.

The former Chief Minister conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. He stated that Ayub Khan’s contribution to public life and regional development would always be remembered.

Several political leaders, supporters, and residents have also mourned his death, remembering him as an approachable leader who remained connected with the masses throughout his political journey.
