Explosion outside Indian Consulate in Afghanistan

The suicide bombing and gunfire rocked Afghanistan near Indian consulate in Jalalabad on Saturday. However, all the officials were safe. As per the initial reports by several news channels, six people have been killed and 22 others were injured.

The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed the report that there was an explosion outside Indian consulate and all the officials inside the building were safe. The incident took place when a car laden with explosives blew up outside the consulate in the city.

According to reports, those were killed in the explosion, were security personnel and people outside the building.

The security forces sealed off the area. No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
