BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav had recently met Lone in Srinagar. The outcome of the meeting was not revealed. But, it is believed that both leaders discussed a possible alliance in the state. Lone’s party has a strong base in 5 Assembly seats in Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
