Jagatsinghpur: The sitting MLA of Ersama-Balikuda assembly, Mr. Prasanta Muduli, was injured in a road mishap on Saturday. His car hit a Bolero at Barada Chowk on the Jagatsinghpur-Kandarpur road near Biridi.

Muduli was going to Balikuda from Bhubaneswar to attend the annual function of a school in the area, when the incident occurred. He sustained injuries on his head and leg. His driver was also injured in the accident.
The driver of the Bolero, Rakesh Bastia was arrested by the police. The injured MLA and his driver have been shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. They are said to be stable.
