Date:

TNI Bureau: Former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is set to make a public appearance in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday evening, where he will share the stage with RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale at the launch of a book based on the life of “Vedanta Kesari Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati.”

The event comes shortly after Pradhan’s resignation as Union Education Minister, making it his first major public engagement following his exit from the Union Cabinet. His participation has drawn attention in political circles, given the timing and the presence of one of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) top functionaries. Despite the resignation, Dharmendra remains one of the most powerful BJP leaders at the national level.

The book highlights the life and contributions of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati, a prominent Hindu religious leader known for his work in tribal welfare, education and social outreach, particularly in Odisha. His life and legacy continue to hold significance among several socio-cultural and ideological organisations.

RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale is expected to address the gathering alongside Dharmendra Pradhan and other invited dignitaries. The event is likely to attract political leaders, academics, religious figures and members of various social organisations.

Given the recent political developments surrounding Pradhan’s resignation, the programme is expected to be closely watched for any remarks that may provide insight into his future political role or broader ideological engagement. While the occasion is centred on the release of a biographical work, it is also expected to generate interest because of the participation of prominent national figures from the Sangh Parivar.
