Cyclone Alert: Release of Odia Movies Postponed

The Odisha Film Producer’s Association has postponed the release of four Odia movies on Thursday following the threat from Cyclone Phailine, which is expected to hit the Odisha Coast by tomorrow.

mu-raja-tu-raniIt is considered as a major loss for the filmmakers, who wanted to good use of their films during the puja holidays. The movies, which were put on hold, were ‘Mu Raja Tu Rani’, ‘Kehi Jane Bhala Lagere’, ‘Akhire Akhire’ and ‘Tu Mo Dehara Chhai’.

The producers of the movies agreed to put the release on hold, acknowledging the panic situation in the state. There is little doubt with the ‘severe cyclone’ looming large over 21 districts of Odisha, nobody will come to the cinema halls to watch movies.
