Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered a Crime Branch probe into the gruesome murder of BJD youth leader Abhimanyu Sahu in Titilagarh yesterday. Abhimanyu was hacked to death while he was on a morning walk.

There were massive protests in Titilagarh and other parts of Balangir district after the news broke out yesterday. Even senior BJD leaders and members of royal family, Mr. AU Singhdeo, Mr. Kaliskesh Singhdeo and Mr. Arkesh Singhdeo had to face the ire of people present at Abhimanyu Sahu’s residence when they went there to pay floral tribute to the departed soul.

Abhimanyu Sahu was the General Secretary of Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BJYD) and also held the membership of the State Council. His killers are still on the run. A massive manhunt has been launched to nab them. Political rivalry is suspected behind his murder.
