TNI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited two major industrial units in Khordha and said the Odisha government is committed to accelerating industrial growth, generating local employment and promoting advanced technology in the state.
The Chief Minister visited Trimetro Garments India Pvt Ltd, a textile manufacturing unit of EPIC Group at Kalibeti, and later toured Anadrone Systems at Mundaamba. He interacted directly with employees and reviewed the working environment and industrial facilities.
During his visit to Trimetro Garments, workers told the Chief Minister that the state’s industry-friendly policies have helped them find jobs in Odisha itself instead of migrating to other states for livelihood. Majhi stressed the importance of skill development, local employment and better facilities for industrial workers.
Highlighting women workers’ safety and welfare, the Chief Minister announced that the government will provide EV bus services for safe transportation and build modern hostels for employees working in industrial areas.
He said more industries will be set up in the region in the coming days, creating large-scale employment opportunities and boosting the local economy. He also said ancillary industries would develop around major industrial projects.
The Trimetro Garments plant, built with an investment of around Rs 376 crore, has generated employment for nearly 7,000 people, most of them women. The company manufactures products for global fashion brand Uniqlo.
At Anadrone Systems, Majhi congratulated CEO Anant Bhalotia for the successful use of drone technology during Operation “Sindoor”. He praised the company for achieving “100 per cent success” in the operation and assured full government support for future expansion projects.
