TNI Bureau: Chevrolet introduced its new SAIL UVA to celebrate a new beginning in the New Year. The looks, design and features are targeted for the youngsters, those who have passion for long drive. The vehicle was launched in India on November 2. It is available at the price of 4.44 lakh.
The Chevrolet SAIL-UVA features Chevrolet’s signature dual port chrome grille, Hawk Wing styled headlamps and is available in 7 colours, both in Petrol and Diesel variants.
Buyers, for whom space and storage are priorities in their vehicle, the Chevrolet SAIL-UVA are a preferable one.
The Chevrolet SAIL U-VA is available in the 1.3 l SMARTECH Turbocharged DOHC Diesel and 1.2 l SMARTECH Petrol Engine variants. The 1.3 l Diesel engine provides a mileage of 22.1 kmpl while the 1.2 l Petrol engine delivers a mileage of 18.2 kmpl.
The vehicle is one of the most spacious one in its segment for having equipped with 25+ storage spaces along with ‘Flex Flat’ & 60:40 Folding Rear Row seats. While the 248-litre volume space makes the new UVA, one of the most spacious luggage carriers, the Flex flat folding rear seat increases the back (space) to 1,134 litres.
The other salient interior features on the new Sail UVA include dual-color fabric, chrome highlights. Apart from that the vehicle features a three-spoke power steering wheel, that is free from any mounted controls and a very ordinary looking music system with panels for the rear passengers, start and stop switch and gear lock along with door sills.. For safety there is reverse parking sensors and chrome inserted fog lights.
Unlike the original Aveo UVA, the model available in India is a Shanghai-designed Sail, meant to meet the requirements of the Indian market.
However, the vehicle has no other features that could hold a driver’s attention for a long time apart from its fresh look.
