England win Test Series in India after 28 Years

TNI Bureau: The fourth and final test match in Nagpur ended in a tame draw. England won the series 2-1. This is the first time after 1984-85, England won a test series on the Indian soil.

India failed to produce any miracle on Day 5, as Trott and Bell denied them any space. The duo added 208 runs for the fifth wicket. Trott made 143, while Bell remained unbeaten on
116. England finished at 352/4 in the second innings. For India, Ashwin took two wickets. James Anderson was declared ‘Man of the Match’, while Alastair Cook won the ‘Man of the Series’ award.

India had won the first test match in Ahmedabad by 9 wickets. But England bounced back to win Mumbai test by 10 wickets and Kolkata Test by 7 wickets. India lost a home test series first time since 2004.
