Earlier, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Although R Ashwin struck hard, they managed to hold on. David Warner scored 59, followed by Ed Cowan (29). Watson scored just 28. Henriques scored 68. Ashwin has taken six wickets so far, while Jadeja took the other wicket.

On a batting, but turning track, it would be interesting to see how long Australia can hold on tomorrow morning and whether they would be able to put pressure on the Indian batting line-up or not. Harbhajan Singh, appearing in his 100th test, has disappointed so far and remains wicket-less.
