Microsoft India to Hold AppFest on 26 Feb

Hi students! If you’re computer literate and want to develop Apps for Microsoft, the World’s largest software maker, get register your name soon. Microsoft has announced an AppFest for Indian students, scheduled to be held on February 26 at over 50 locations in the country. More than ten thousand students across the country are expected to participate in this fest where they will develop Apps for the Windows platform.

At present, all the 50 colleges, where the fest will take place, are conducting training sessions for the students who have registered for the event, in order to refresh their coding skills. With the App fest, Microsoft wants to encourage the budding developers in India.

Microsoft will provide various free software like Visual Studio Express for Windows 8, free Windows Store registration codes through Microsoft DreamSpark etc. to the participants at the centers during the event on 26th Feb and all the students would be supervised by Microsoft mentors, trainers and Microsoft Student Partners (MSPs) there.

After creating the App, the students will then submit it online and the Apps would be available on the Windows Store after the due validation process.
