CBI Probe ordered into Ranvir Sena Chief’s Killing

TNI Bureau: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ordered a CBI probe into the gruesome killing of Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh Mukhiya. A decision was taken in this regard after a meeting between the CM with the top officials from the home department and state police.

Earlier, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and LJP President Ram Vilas Paswan have slammed the Nitish Kumar government, alleging lawlessness in the state and ordered a CBI inqiry into the killing of Mukhiya.

Brahmeshwar Singh Mukhiya, the founder and chief of Ranvir Sena, was behind the killing of scores of people in the 1990s. He led the armed militia against the ultra left extremists.

Mukhiya spend 9 years in Ara jail and was released on bail in April 2012. He was shot dead by some unidentified assailants while on a morning walk on Friday.
