TNI Bureau: Senior BJP leader and party’s National Vice President Baijayant Panda received a grand welcome at the BJP state office in Bhubaneswar on Thursday following the party’s victory in the 2026 Assam Assembly elections.
Jay Panda, who served as BJP’s Assam election in-charge, said the party’s success in Assam for a third consecutive term reflected public faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the achievements of the “double-engine government.” He also described BJP’s first-ever victory in West Bengal as a “historic turning point for New India.”
After arriving at Bhubaneswar airport, Panda was taken to the BJP state office in a large procession by party workers. Odisha BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Manmohan Samal felicitated him with a bouquet and traditional honours, praising his role in steering the BJP to victory in Assam, similar to the 2021 elections.
Several senior BJP leaders and workers were present during the reception programme organised at the party office.
