TNI Bureau: Officials of Odisha Vigilance on Thursday carried out simultaneous searches at three locations associated with Bhagbat Bhusan Behera, a forester under Bhawanipatna Forest Range in Kalahandi district, over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets beyond his known sources of income.
The searches were conducted by a vigilance team comprising four DSPs, seven Inspectors, four ASIs and other supporting staff. The raids were carried out on the basis of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna.
Searches were conducted at the following locations:
A triple-storeyed residential building of Behera located at Hill Town, Bhawanipatna
The residential house of his brother at Deundi village under Junagarh police limits
His office chamber at Bhatangpadar Forest Section under Bhawanipatna Forest Range
According to vigilance officials, the searches are still in progress.
