Bhubaneswar, 12.11.2013: A full figure statue of famous Odia singer, music director, lyricist and actor late Akshaya Mohanty was unveiled at B D A Park campus near VIP colony of IRC village Nayapalli yesterday. The statue was made by culture Department.

Member of Parliament Sri Prasanna Patsani, MLA Bhubaneswar (North) Bhagirathi Badajena, MLA Bhubaneswar (Ekamra) Ashok Chandra Panda, MLA Bhubaneswar (Madhya) Sri Bijoy Ku Mohanty, Mayor, BMC Sri Anant Narayan Jena, Culture Director Sri Sushil Das, Secretary Odisha Sahitya Academy Sri Bijoy Nayak, Linguistic Prof. Devi Prasanna Pattanaik, Akshaya Mohanty’s family members and members of Akshaya Mohanty Smruti Sansad were present at the inaugural function.
