After Cuttack, Eviction begins in Sambalpur

After Cuttack, Sambalpur is the next town where the eviction drive against illegal religious structures began today. However, no protests or demonstrations have been reported so far in the town against the move.

Meanwhile, the demolition drive against unauthorised religious structures is on in Cuttack. The district administration is not in mood to listen to the public demand. Five temples and shrines were demolished on Thursday in the city despite huge protests.

As many as 25 temples including the Gundicha temple of the Chandni Chowk Puja Committee have been demolished till date. On the other hand, the Supreme Court put a stay order on the eviction of Anantgopal Ashram at Mahanadi Vihar in Cuttack.
