2015-World-CupKenya, which played the World Cup in the last five editions, was no match to the pace attack of Afghan bowlers, as they wrecked havoc and bowled the African team out for just 93. Afghanistan chased down the target in the 21st overs and lost just three wickets in the process. With this win, they finished second behind Ireland in the tournament.

The 2015 World Cup will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand. In total, 14 teams will take part in the tournament. Apart from England, Australia, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, New Zealand and Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan have also qualified to compete for the coveted trophy. Two more teams will be decided later.
