Yuva Utkal Bharat opposes Pakistani Team in Cuttack

Date:

TNI Bureau: In a big development, the Yuva Utkal Bharat has decided to oppose any move to hold the Group B matches of the Women’s World Cup 2013 in Cuttack, saying they won’t allow the Pakistani team to play on Odisha soil.

The BCCI took the decision to allot all matches of Group B of which Pakistan is a part to Cuttack after the Shiv Sena vowed not to allow Pakistani players in Mumbai. Even the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) refused to hold the matches.

The Yuva Utkal Bharat would submit a “warning memorandum” to the Police Commissioner (Cuttack-Bhubaneswar) at 12 PM tomorrow. The youth organisation has requested all people to stand in protest for the entry of Pakistanis in Odisha in the wake of escalation of tension at the LoC and the beheading of Indian soldiers by Pakistani Army.
