Film AK vs AK starring Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap has been surrounded by a lot of controversies since the very beginning. The film is set to release on the famous OTT platform Netflix on Dec 24, 2020. The movie is directed by filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane.
AK vs AK is a comedy thriller film. The plot of the film revolves around an actor finding his daughter kidnapped by a director. Both Anurag Kashyap and Anil Kapoor are playing their real-life characters in the film. Actor Anil Kapoor’s children Sonam Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor also gave small appearances in the movie.

The whole trailer of the movie looks extremely confusing and nail-biting. It also has a sense of wittiness and humor at times. The trailer is fun to watch and is very interesting.

From the very beginning, the movie gained massive spotlight due to all the controversies revolving around the film. It all started with the banter between the two on Twitter. Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap both passed some serious jibes at each other on the social media platform. The whole situation got awkward and shocked the netizens at first but soon people realized that it was just a promotional stunt for their upcoming film.
However, the movie soon landed in another very serious controversy. Just a day after the release of its trailer, the Indian Air Force objected to the improper use of Army Uniform by actor Anil Kapoor in the film. Air Force tweeted about their disappointment over the actor using inappropriate language wearing the IAF Uniform. They also demanded to withdraw the related scenes from the movie.
Soon after the tweet got viral, people started reacting to this whole situation. Some slammed the makers for disrespecting the Indian Air Force and Army while others supported the actor and the filmmakers. As the whole thing got intensified, the filmmakers, OTT Platform, and the actor decided to apologize to the Indian Air Force and people for hurting their sentiments. Anil Kapoor posted an apology video saying that it was not his intent to disrespect or disregard anyone. The OTT platform Netflix also tweeted about the matter tagging the Indian Air Force’s official account.
