Azhar refused to take any legal action against the BCCI for the 12-year-long trauma and pain he had to undergo. He said he won’t blame anyone for his plight and looking forward to work for cricket. Azhar has played 99 test matches. His dream of playing the 100th test match was shattered when the BCCI banned him for life in 2000.

“It is about destiny and whatever had to happen has happened. I don’t have any complaints,” he said at a press conference at his residence this afternoon. Azharuddin is currently a Lok Sabha MP from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh. He had joined the Congress Party ahead of the 2009 general elections.
