TNI Bureau: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched an ambitious pension scheme ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana’ for farmers from Ranchi in Jharkhand.

Under the scheme, Small and marginal farmers between the age of 18 to 40 years can apply to receive a pension of Rs 3,000 per month. They will get Rs 3,000 monthly pension after reaching 60.
An amount of Rs 10,774 crore has been sanctioned for the scheme for next three years.
