Odisha Tourism’s Road Show at Varanasi
In a bid to promote Odisha Tourism and attract more tourists from Varanasi, Odisha Tourism has organised the road show in the spiritual city of Varanasi on Thursday. The main objective of the road show was to give a boost to tourist traffic from Varanasi to Odisha in view of the recent introduction of Air India connectivity between the two cities of Varanasi and Bhubaneswar.
Shri Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister, Tourism & Culture, in a gathering of media persons, Tour Operators and scholars and academicians of BHU emphasized to boost the cultural link between the two States. While elaborating the tourism products of the State, Sri Panda appealed the media to give maximum coverage about Odisha and wished tour operators to work diligently for such promotion.
As huge number of Buddhist tourists are visiting Varanasi, Sarnath and other destinations, Sri Panda urged the media and tour operators to highlight the Buddhist Circuit of Odisha. He also requested the tour operators and travel agents to include Odisha (Ratnagiri-Lalitgiri-Udayagiri -Langudi- Dhauli-Puri-Bhubaneswar, etc) in their travel plan and itinerary.
