Jet Fuel Prices increased by Rs 2,797.41 per kl

TNI Bureau: The jet fuel or aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices were increased by a steep 4.5% on Wednesday, which is the second hike in 30 days. The hike indicated that possible hike in airfare in the coming days.

The ATF prices were hiked by Rs 2,797.41 per kilolitre (kl). Now, the prices in Delhi will be Rs 65,005.59. In Mumbai, the jet fuel will cost Rs 65,884.34 per kl from Wednesday as against Rs63, 002.45 per kl.

Earlier in July, the prices were hiked by 1.7% or Rs1, 039.1 per kl.

The fuel prices had hit all-time high peak of Rs 71,028.26 per kl in August 2008 after the international oil rates were hiked to USD 147 per barrel.
