Mystery shrouds IAS Officer’s Death in BBSR
An IAS officer died under mysterious circumstances here in the state capital on Monday. He reportedly jumped before the Puri-Howarh passenger at Bhubaneswar platform. Police suspected it a ‘suicide case’. However, what pressurised him to take the extreme step is yet to be revealed.
Bureaucrat Gagan Bihari Swain was working as the Additional Secretary of planning and coordination department, Govt of Odisha. Earlier, he had served as the Director of the state Textile Department. He was also the Collector of Sonepur District.
He jumped before a moving train at platform no. 3 on Monday afternoon at the Bhubaneswar main railway station.
The mystery shrouded the death of the Odia IAS Officer. The railway police have sent the mutilated body to the capital hospital for autopsy.
