TNI Bureau: Former Bhatli MLA, Ex Odisha Minister and senior BJD leader Susanta Singh passes away while undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar. He was 53.

Susanta was elected to Odisha Assembly in 2009, 2014, and 2019. He lost in 2024 to Irasish Acharya of BJP.
Susanta Singh was known as BJD’s key strategist and stalwart leader in Western Odisha. BJD felt his absence in Nuapada Bypolls as he remained out of public life aftermath 2024 polls due to illness. He was undergoing treatment for multiple ailments for a long time.
Susanta Singh’s mortal remains will be brought to Sankha Bhavan for last darshan and later taken to Odisha Assembly premises for the guard of honour.
