TNI Bureau: Two devotee died and several others were injured amid a heavy rush of devotees during the Ratha Jatra in Puri. The incident was reported near Marichikot Chhak on the Grand Road as thousands gathered to witness the chariot festival.

According to reports, the devotee experienced severe breathlessness and collapsed in the crowd. He was immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where doctors declared him dead. An official confirmation from the administration was awaited.

Several other devotees who sustained injuries or fell ill during the incident were also taken to hospital for treatment. Authorities are yet to provide detailed information on the circumstances that led to the incident.
