Police said Ketan, a 26-year-old real estate businessman, had gone to Lohagad Fort with his fiancée Siya on June 18 to celebrate her birthday. Initially, the incident was reported as an accidental fall while he was taking photographs near the gorge.

However, during the investigation, police found that Siya was in a relationship with Chetan and was unwilling to marry Ketan. Investigators said the two conspired to eliminate him and staged the incident as an accident.

According to police, Ketan fell nearly 400 feet into the gorge and died from his injuries. Following the probe, both accused were arrested and produced before a court, which remanded them to police custody until June 29.

Police said further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and gather additional evidence in the case.
