TNI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday hailed the Narendra Modi-led Union Government for completing 12 years in office and two years of its third term, describing the period as an era of “absolute transformation” marked by good governance, economic growth, national security and welfare-oriented development.

Addressing a press conference in Bhubaneswar, Majhi said India has emerged as the world’s fastest-growing major economy despite global geopolitical challenges. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for strengthening India’s economy, infrastructure, renewable energy capacity, digital ecosystem and global standing.

Highlighting the impact of the Centre-State “double-engine government” in Odisha, the Chief Minister said the state has witnessed unprecedented progress in railways, highways, ports, aviation, agriculture, women’s empowerment, tribal welfare, healthcare and education. He pointed to record railway allocations, major highway and port projects, expansion of Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission and PM-Kisan benefits.

Majhi also highlighted Odisha’s achievements in fiscal management, skill development and Naxal eradication, claiming the state has become a top performer in several national indicators.

Reaffirming Odisha’s commitment to becoming a developed and self-reliant state by 2036, Majhi said coordinated efforts between the Centre, State Government and people would accelerate the journey towards a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.
