Meiyappan sent to Police Custody till May 29

BCCI chief N Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan was sent to police custody for five days till May 29. He was produced before a Mumbai court today.

Chennai Super Kings CEO Meiyappan was quizzed by Mumbai Crime Branch following his arrest yesterday night in connection with spot-fixing scandal in the ongoing IPL. He was arrested after actor Vindu Dara Singh took his name in the betting scandal.

Meanwhile, the BCCI chief N Srinivasan distanced himself from the controversy. He remained defiant saying, he had done nothing wrong.
