The first Bollywood link to the IPL spot-fixing scandal was busted with the arrest of Vindoo Dara Singh, son of the legendary Dara Singh. He was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch for his alleged links with bookies.
Recently, Vindoo was seen with Dhoni’s wife Sakshi in an IPL match. That proves that he had access to several top players, including the Indian captain. Meanwhile, sources close to Dhoni have clarified that his wife has nothing to do with Vindu, who had come to watch just one match with her. Vindu was earlier seen with many cricketers, including Chris Gayle, Manpreet Gony and Harbhajan Singh.
Vindoo Dara Singh’s arrest came on the day when the tainted cricketers and bookies were being produced in Saket district court in New Delhi. Few days back, Ramesh Vyas was arrested for his alleged link with bookies.
Vindoo was a winner of the third season of Bigg Boss, the popular reality show. He made his acting debut in the Hindi film ‘Karan’. He has also acted in TV serials. He has played the role of Hanuman in the TV serial ‘Jai Veer Hanuman’. He is the best friend of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.
