TNI Bureau: World’s largest open-air theatre, Dhanu Jatra of Bargarh entered Day 2 today.
Bargarh MP Pradeep Kumar Purohit and MLA Ashwini Kumar Sarangi inaugurated the festival on Wednesday.
Among others, Padampur MLA Barsha Singh Bariha, Attabira MLA Nihar Ranjan Mahanand, Bhatli MLA Irasish Acharya, District Collector Aditya Goyal, Commissioner and Secretary of the Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Department, IAS Guha Punam Tapas Kumar also attended the first evening of the Bargarh Dhanu Jatra.
Maharaj Kansa will rule on the Mathura Nagari for 11 days. The Bargarh town turned into a living stage. The eleven-day annual cultural spectacle brings mythology, tradition and performance together. Streets and palaces become live performance spaces.
