Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) crashed out of the IPL 6 with a shocking seven-run loss against Pune Warriors India, which was triggered by an unusual dismissal of Yusuf Pathan in the dying moments of the game.

Pune Warriors scored 170/4 in 20 overs. Manish Pandey was the top scorer with 66, while Aaron Finch made 48. Yuvraj (30) and Uthappa (25) were the other top contributors.

Chasing a victory target of 171, KKR lost Gambhir, Bisla and Kallis early, However, Yusuf Pathan (72) and Doeschate (42) revived the hopes. The ‘Obstruction in the Field’ dismissal of Yusuf Pathan changed the course of the game.

KKR finished at 163/8 in 20 overscand lost the match by 7 runs. Wayne Parnell took two wickets. Manish Pandey was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
