Rajasthan beat Hyderabad by 8 Wickets
The marvelous shots by Shane Watson smashed Hyderabad bowlers at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday. Although, he was unlucky to hit century, but Rajasthan Royals emerged victorious at the end the tournament by 8 wickets.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat first. The team was restricted to 144/9 (20.0 ov) following fall of wickets like Shikhar Dhawan (0), Akshath Reddy (2), Sangakkara (4), Hanuma Vihari (4), Karan Sharma (6), and Thisara Perera (4).
Chasing the target 145, Rajasthan’s Rahane could not start well and he was sent back with the score only 1. However, Rahul Dravid and Watson swept the game. They scored 74 in partnership. With Dravid’s departure, Watson hit wonderful shots. He scored unbeaten 98 off 53 balls.
Finally, the team won the match losing only two wickets. They scored 146/2 (17.5 ov). James Faulkner was the MoM for his 5/20. He took key wickets – Shikhar Dhawan, Sangakkara, Karan Sharma and Amit Mishra – of the opponent team .
