Gautam Gambhir, who has been in superb form in the IPL 6, has scored yet another fifty, as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 48 runs in a crucial encounter tonight.
Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 180/4 in 20 overs. Gambhir scored 53. Bisla (28), Kallis (41) and Morgan (47) were the other top scorers.
Chasing a victory target of 181, Sunrisers Hyderabad finished at 132/7 in 20 overs and lost the match by 48 runs. Parthiv Patel made 27, while Cameron White scored 34. Perera made 36. Kallis took three wickets. Rajat Bhatia took two wickets. Gambhir was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
