Zee Group Editors sent to 14-day Judicial Custody

TNI Bureau: Two senior Editors of Zee News, Sudhir Chaudhary and Samir Ahluwalia, who were arrested for allegedly trying to extort Rs 100 crore from Naveen Jindal-led Jindal Group, were sent to 14-day judicial custody.

Both the editors have filed a second bail plea, which will be heard on Saturday. The two editors had allegedly demanded money from Jindal Group not to telecast negative stories on coalgate against the company.

Meanwhile, three other top officials from Zee News have been called up to cooperate in the investigation. Zee Group head Subhash Chandra, CEO Puneet Goenka and Jawahar Goel have been served notices by the Delhi police Crime Branch. They will join the probe after December 5.
