Vizag ODI Cancelled due to Cyclone Menace

Date:

India-WI-ODIThe third ODI between India and West Indies, which was scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam on October 14, has been cancelled due to Cyclone Hudhud. Earlier, the BCCI had received confirmation from the Andhra Pradesh Cricket Board that the ground would be ready to host the tie if there is no rain on October 14.

However, Cyclone Hudhud, which ravaged the port city of Visakhapatnam (Vizag), has triggered massive rains, which may last till October 15. Also, since the cops and other officials would be engaged in rescue and relief operations, the government will find it tough to make necessary arrangements for the ODI.

India and West Indies are now levelled at 1-1. As the Vizag ODI has been abandoned, the fourth ODI of the series will be held in Dharamshala (Himchal Pradesh) on October 17.
