Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan Pays Maiden Visit to Odisha, Leads Parakram Diwas Celebrations in Cuttack

TNI Bureau: Vice-President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Odisha on his maiden visit to the state to attend the Parakram Diwas celebrations at the birthplace of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Cuttack. He was received at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar, by Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, and other dignitaries, and was accorded a Guard of Honour.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice-President recalled the inspirational marching song “Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja” and said Netaji’s message continues to inspire courage and resolve among Indians. He urged citizens to work collectively towards Viksit Bharat@2047, guided by Netaji’s vision of a strong, self-reliant and powerful nation.

On the occasion, he felicitated freedom fighter Shri Mayadhar Mallick and Wing Commander B. S. Singh Deo (Retd.), and honoured the family members of Indian National Army veterans, stating that the nation remains forever grateful for their courage and sacrifice.

The Vice-President also inaugurated the INA Postal Stamp Gallery, Netaji Sanskruti Bhawan, and an exhibition organised by the Ministry of Culture at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Birthplace Museum. He said these initiatives would help inspire younger generations to learn about Netaji’s life, sacrifices and enduring legacy.
