TNI Bureau: Usha Padhee, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, has assumed additional charge as Chairperson of the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO).
After taking charge, she held a detailed discussion with senior officers and staff of IDCO to review ongoing initiatives, key priorities, and the roadmap for strengthening industrial infrastructure across Odisha.
During the meeting, Smt. Padhee stressed the importance of timely project execution, transparency, inter-departmental coordination, and effective investor facilitation. She highlighted IDCO’s key role in promoting industrial growth through land development, infrastructure creation, and investment facilitation across the state.
She also emphasised that industrial infrastructure development should go hand in hand with planned urban growth, calling for well-planned industrial townships with adequate civic amenities, mobility, and sustainable infrastructure to ensure balanced regional development.
Appreciating the efforts of the IDCO team, she encouraged them to work with renewed commitment, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to support Odisha’s vision of accelerated industrial development and inclusive economic growth.
