In a statement, Padhee said his engagement on social media has always been guided by the intention to share personal, positive, and constructive thoughts, while consciously avoiding negativity. However, he noted that some recent comments he encountered were deeply toxic and unbecoming.

To ensure that such negativity does not divert his focus from purpose and positivity, Padhee said he has decided to take a break from the medium for the time being.

He also expressed hope that Mahaprabhu would bless everyone with better thinking, empathy, and wisdom, emphasizing that positivity must prevail.

His sudden decision is attributed to recent harsh criticism and outburst by people related to the parking fee hike at Puri Bhakta Niwas and other governance related issues where he was not the lone decision maker.

Arabinda Padhee has not specified the duration of his social media break.
